Our Mission
David believes that patient education is paramount to provide patients with a clearer understanding of their own condition. This approach bolsters patient engagement by providing them with a better understanding of their own medical condition, enabling patients to make more informed decisions regarding their own medical treatment. This concept encourages a more positive state of physical and mental wellness, resulting in better overall treatment outcomes. Enthusiastic about the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of multiple foot disorders, resulting from injury or disease I implement the necessary skills to treat conditions impacting on people’s everyday quality of life; whilst developing effective patient care pathways.
About David
David is Originally from Liverpool, North West England. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Podiatry at the University of Salford in Manchester. Prior to making the decision to study Podiatry and throughout his studies, David worked as a frontline Emergency Response Ambulance Technician. David also served in the British Army as a Combat Engineer and physical training instructor.
David enjoys a broad spectrum of podiatry work, including routine nail and foot care, biomechanics, plantar wart treatments and nail surgery. David has a keen interest in muscle, ligament, tendon and soft tissue injury rehabilitation.
David is happy to be working alongside a vascular surgeon and dermatologist. This collaboration helps to reduce NSHA wait times for some patients by freeing up Dr’s schedules whilst ensuring that patients have access to continuing foot care through their private health insurance policies should they wish.
In his spare time David likes to compete in various sporting disciplines but is at home in the water. He can often be found surfing, swimming or playing underwater hockey. David is a member of the Nova Scotia Podiatry Association.
