What is an NF-MESO treatment?

NF-MESO is a non-invasive facial treatment that uses controlled electrical modes to support facial muscle toning, skin rejuvenation and the application of selected cosmetic serums. Your treatment is customized according to your skin, comfort level and treatment goals.

What concerns can NF-MESO address?

NF-MESO may be selected to help improve the appearance of facial tone and firmness, hydrate and condition dry or dull-looking skin, refresh the appearance of tired or ageing skin, support a more lifted and defined appearance, and maintain the results of an established treatment program. Results vary between patients, and NF-MESO does not replace medical or surgical treatment.

Does NF-MESO use needles or injections?

No. NF-MESO is a needle-free treatment. Despite the names of certain device modes, nothing is injected into the skin.

Is NF-MESO the same as injectable mesotherapy?

No. Traditional mesotherapy may involve injections. NF-MESO uses external device applicators and does not puncture the skin or inject substances.

Is NF-MESO the same as microneedling?

No. Microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the skin using very fine needles. NF-MESO does not intentionally puncture or injure the skin.

What does the treatment feel like?

Most patients describe the treatment as comfortable. Depending on the selected mode and treatment area, you may notice mild tingling, tapping or gentle facial muscle movement. Your practitioner will begin conservatively and adjust the device according to your comfort. Tell your practitioner immediately if you experience pain, burning, dizziness, palpitations, a significant headache, unusual muscle spasms or another unexpected reaction.

How long does an appointment take?

Please allow approximately 45-60 minutes. This includes consultation, skin preparation, treatment and finishing skincare. Active device operation is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes.

Are serums used during the treatment?

A serum may be selected based on your skin and treatment goals. Valley Medical currently offers options intended for hydration, soothing and skin conditioning, or firmness, tone and overall rejuvenation. Some treatments may use conductive medium without a serum. Your practitioner will review ingredients and sensitivities before selecting a product.

Is there any downtime?

NF-MESO is non-invasive, so many patients can return to their normal activities after treatment. Temporary redness, sensitivity or mild muscle awareness may occur. Your practitioner will provide aftercare instructions based on your skin's response.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Please arrive with clean skin when possible. Before treatment, tell us about changes to your health or medications; pregnancy or possible pregnancy; pacemakers, implanted electronic devices or metal implants; seizure disorders; cardiovascular conditions or abnormal blood pressure; active cancer or current cancer treatment; recent facial procedures, injections, surgery or laser treatments; allergies or sensitivities to skincare ingredients; and active irritation, infection, inflammation or broken skin.

Who should not receive NF-MESO?

NF-MESO may not be appropriate for individuals with certain medical conditions, implants or active skin concerns. Contraindications can include pregnancy, pacemakers or implanted electronic devices, seizure disorders, active cancer treatment, certain cardiovascular conditions and infection, inflammation or open wounds in the treatment area. Every patient must complete an individualized medical and skin assessment before treatment.

Can NF-MESO be performed after Botox, fillers, laser treatments or other procedures?

Possibly, but appropriate timing depends on the procedure, treatment area and your individual circumstances. Tell your practitioner about all recent injections, laser treatments, surgery, peels, microneedling and other aesthetic procedures before your appointment. Treatment may need to be postponed.

How many treatments will I need?

The recommended schedule depends on your goals and response. A typical plan may include: - Corrective Lift & Tone: 10 treatments, generally twice weekly for five weeks - Hydrate & Rejuvenate: A series of four individualized treatments - Maintenance: Approximately every three to four weeks - Preventive or early-ageing care: Approximately once monthly Your practitioner may recommend a different schedule after assessing your skin and treatment goals.

When will I see results?

Some patients notice a refreshed, hydrated or more toned appearance after an appointment. More progressive goals generally require a treatment series and regular maintenance. Results vary and cannot be guaranteed.

How long do the results last?

The duration of visible results varies with age, skin condition, muscle tone, lifestyle and treatment frequency. NF-MESO is generally offered as a series followed by maintenance treatments rather than as a permanent correction.

What should I do after treatment?

Follow the personalized instructions provided by your practitioner. General recommendations may include using gentle skincare, applying broad-spectrum sunscreen, avoiding rubbing or irritating the treated skin, avoiding strong or unfamiliar skincare products immediately afterward, and contacting Valley Medical if you experience an unexpected or persistent reaction.

Can I wear makeup after treatment?

Many patients can resume makeup once the skin feels calm and comfortable. If you experience redness or sensitivity, your practitioner may recommend waiting or using only gentle, non-irritating products.

Is NF-MESO safe for sensitive skin?

It may be suitable for some patients with sensitive skin, but treatment must be individualized. NF-MESO should not be performed over actively inflamed, infected, damaged or markedly hypersensitive skin. Please disclose all known product allergies and previous skin reactions.

Can NF-MESO be used on the neck?

The face and neck may be treated when clinically appropriate. Your practitioner will determine suitable treatment areas after reviewing your health history, skin condition and individual anatomy.

How do I know which NF-MESO treatment is right for me?

Your Valley Medical practitioner will assess your skin, medical history and goals before recommending a treatment. Your plan may focus on lifting and toning, hydration and rejuvenation, or a customized combination of both.
