Skin shows its history. Chronic sun exposure, gravity and hormones all speed that up, and by the time most people book a consultation they are looking at some combination of brown spots, redness and texture that has crept in gradually.

What elōs™ treats

The elōs™ skin renewal system combines gentle electrical energy, light and cooling to restore skin to a more youthful state. It works on:

  • Sun damage, uneven pigmentation, freckles, age spots and liver spots
  • Broken capillaries, visible veins, red flushing skin, rosacea and redness
  • Dull complexions, enlarged pores and mild acne scars
  • Fine lines and wrinkles

Treatment areas range from a single spot to the face, neck, décolleté, chest, hands, arms, shoulders and back.

The number: typically four to five

Most people need four to five treatment sessions, done a few weeks apart. Some stubborn lesions need more. We review results as we go, so you are not committing blindly to a fixed series.

Each treatment produces gradual lightening and improvement of pigmented and vascular imperfections. Textural improvements tend to show up towards the end of the series rather than at the start, which is worth knowing, so you are not judging the whole plan by session one.

What it feels like

The sensation is often described as a hot pinch. It lasts momentarily, and you may notice warmth or tingling afterward. Numbing creams are available if you would prefer.

Afterward

Temporary pinkness lasts a very short time, and most people return to work or normal activities immediately after treatment. Brown spots typically darken temporarily before they lighten, which is expected and not a sign anything has gone wrong.

Wear sunscreen or sunblock daily afterward. This is the part that protects your investment: treating sun damage and then continuing to accumulate more is an expensive way to stand still.

Is it safe?

Treatment is very safe for the skin, and there are no long-term health hazards from the light or electrical energies used.

Start with a proper look at your skin

A VISIA® skin analysis uses advanced imaging to assess sun damage, pigmentation, redness, pores, texture and fine lines, including damage below the surface that is not yet visible. It turns a conversation about your skin into a plan based on what is actually there.
